by Alan Ball
Directed by Kellen Flynn
May 2-11 | WWST Studios
Five Women Wearing the Same Dress is a sharp, heartfelt comedy about five bridesmaids who find unexpected refuge in each other during the wedding of a bride they’d rather forget. As they share memories of the bride, the groom, and the wedding guests, a web of tangled history begins to unravel. Confronting uncomfortable truths from their past, the women discover they have far more in common with each other than with the bride herself. Alan Ball’s signature wit shines through in five distinct, yet equally complex and hilarious performances. With quick-witted humor and poignant social commentary, the play explores themes of friendship, romance, sexuality, finding community, and the multifaceted experience of navigating the world as a woman.
